The tale shown here is an amazing one on many levels. Not only is it the story of the almost miraculous saving of this special, unique racing car, said to be the only original 1930s Auto-Union racing car in the world, but it is also the story of the founding, building and even funding of what is now a large and wonderful automotive museum.
I sincerely hope that you will take the time to read this story and that someday you will be able to visit Riga to see the museum and to experience this amazing car along with all the other wonderful vehicles displayed in Riga.
